Estelle Weir was born in the glorious ’80s in Toronto, Ontario, having had the opportunity to live in numerous homes across various provinces and countries with her family. This ability to adapt and pivot has always served her well, so when the time came to make the massive leap from employee to owner, she never considered it a risk. Production was something she stumbled into, despite attending McGill University for International Development. However, happy accidents are rarely accidents at all, and she thrived in the ever-changing and challenging situations she encountered daily. After years of working at other established production companies, she co-founded Someplace Nice in 2013. There, she continues to nurture talent and collaborate with nice, creative people. Who could ask for more?
