Kathrin Franssen is driven by creating the new norm by challenging the status quo. She joined OMD Germany in October 2024. Her position as Chief Media Officer was especially created for her, and in it she aims to radically simplify clients’ media planning and reporting, connecting offline and online media channels to focus on true omnichannel efficiency and effectiveness. Before joining OMD Germany and the Omnicom Media Group Germany network, Kathrin was the first female member of the executive leadership team at TikTok GBS Germany, Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands, co-creating the platform business as Head of Agency for almost four years, working primarily with her team with creative, social, performance and media agencies. She represented TikTok at many events, incl. OMR, dmexco, Cannes Lions, ADC, and d3con. Kathrin started her career as an online editor at the news desk at a Bertelsmann content agency, exploring a wide range of digital fields including marketing, PR, e-commerce, advertising, and licensing (at Shutterstock). She is a member of the advisory board of the social agency Intermate. Kathrin is passionate about supporting diversity in her business environment
