Maren Lau is Regional Vice President at Meta and Head of Latin America, helping brands leverage the company's platforms and AI tools to drive long-term business results. Maren is also the Global Sales Lead for Business Messaging, driving how brands leverage Meta's messaging apps (WhatsApp, Messenger) for more efficient communication and engagement with their customers. Prior to joining Meta in 2017, she was a founding partner and CMO at Latin American digital marketing company IMS Internet Media Services and has held management roles at both American Express and H+K Strategies in New York. Born in Maui, Hawaii, Maren graduated magna cum laude from Harvard and has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. Maren lives in São Paulo with her family. She is an advisor to Fundação Amazônia Sustentável (Brazil-based NGO); on the board of Junior Achievement Americas; and a former board member of payments technology company Nuvei Corporation (NVEI). In 2023, Bloomberg named her one of LatAm's top 100 Business Innovators.
