Virginia Mosquera (Madrid 1974), wrote her first ad at the age of 4 and it was published that same day in the refrigerator of her house (where it is still displayed). She completed the five key years of her training in the university cafeteria (C.C de la Información UCM), an activity that she combined with La Escuela de Letras de Madrid and the seminars of great screenwriters such as Robert McKee (Script, TV Script, Dialogue, UCLA Screenwriting Summer Intensive Program in L.A.), Guillermo Arriaga or the Duffer Bros. Since 1997 she has worked at some agencies such as JWT, J&R, Tapsa, Zapping, Home Lisboa, JWT (yes, again) and McCann Madrid where she serves as Creative Director since 2006 campaigns for Coca Cola, Aquarius, Movistar+ Series, Acciona, Banco Santander, Campofrío or Ikea, some of them awarded at the most prestigious creativity festivals. She is the creator of “No me da la vida” (Encanta Films Igloo 2020) 36 sections, 13 awards, candidate for the Goya 2022 awards. She is the author of the novels “Motherland” (Esfera de los libros 2017) and “Julieta y Romeo” (EDEBE 2022) and “Princesses who changed the story” (Penguin Random House 2018). Her work has been translated into several languages.
Sometimes at the window she plays the ukulele.
