Alejandra Chacón, a sociologist by training, is Head of Strategy & Insights at Havas Media Network. With more than 20 years of professional experience, she has developed her career leading strategic projects for brands in multiple categories and sectors, including Banco Santander, FNAC, Schweppes, Dia, AECC, Universidad Europea and Iberia, combining business vision, cultural analysis and a deep understanding of audiences.
Throughout her career, she has maintained a firm commitment to gender equality in the advertising industry. She is a member of the Más Mujeres Creativas (More Creative Women) association and has led landmark research projects such as ‘¿Por qué te vas?’ (Why are you leaving?), which focused on analysing the departure of women from creative agencies after the age of 35.
She has participated in various industry projects aimed at eradicating the use of stereotypes in commercial communication, including ‘Over’, developed in collaboration with the Club de Creativos and the Instituto de la Mujer. Following its launch, complaints about sexist advertising in Spain fell by 25% the following year.
She has been a member of the jury at various festivals and awards ceremonies in the sector, contributing a strategic, critical and committed perspective on the quality and responsibility of communication.
Through her LinkedIn profile, she actively promotes reflection on gender, representation and stereotypes in communication. She was recognised as Top Voice Spain in 2020 and Content Creator in 2022. That same year, she was voted Best Planner in Spain by her peers at the awards organised by Ctrl Publicidad, the longest-running magazine in the sector.
