Sitting at the intersection of strategy, creativity and culture, Becky works on technology, innovation and campaigns that live and die by how they earn. As a Creative Strategy Director Becky has led campaigns for some of the world’s largest technology and engineering brands, including WhatsApp, HP, Facebook, Shell, and Microsoft. She also has a fondness for challenger brands. Spending her early days at Edelman devising brand positioning, narratives, and brand actions to help emerging companies get famous and funded. Her career started in journalism, wound through media strategy, brand positioning, and went deep on Earned Creative campaigning. Becky has always been chasing the best way to move an audience with a story. Today she employs that ability as Edelman’s Creative lead for the Meta family of apps and helping Edelman’s major clients use innovation to create the unexpected.
Becky is possessed of a somewhat irritating abundance of curiosity. Whether it be about the process of hydrogen generation, Google Analytics, end-to-end encryption, or behavioural science. Luckily for her, her clients seem to appreciate it. Current obsessions include how social platforms shape language, gender and neuroscience, surveillance, and the ethics of large language models. Outside of the office you’ll find her playing rugby, renovating houses, or making ceramics.
