Huei Yin Wong is an award-winning and award-losing senior art director, artist, and co-founder of The Aunties. Her work has been recognised at Cannes, One Show, Clio Awards, Adfest, Adstars, AWARD, and Ciclopes; with her proactive work on Cadbury’s Saving Freddo helping raise over $2 million for conservation after the devastating Australian wildfires, changing their global brand strategy. Huei is a finalist in the 2022 B&T 'Creative' Women in Media Awards, with The Aunties winning in the 'Mentor' category and being highly commended in 'Champion of Change'. She was also awarded AdAge's Rising Star award. She is an outspoken advocate of representation in the industry and a scholarship recipient and mentor of D&AD’s Rare and Google's Rare delegate for the APAC region. She's part of the Melbourne Advertising and Design Club where she—alongside many passionate others—launched The Aunties: Melbourne's first multi-level support program for marginalised genders. Huei is a multi-dimensional creative, with recognition across several disciplines. Her self-produced project was nominated for the Designs of the Year Award by Design Museum London; her photographs won Gold at the Aotearoa Student Press Awards; and her paintings featured in the Centre of Contemporary Art New Zealand. She is the recipient of several arts grants from the Melbourne Fringe Festival to the highly competitive City of Melbourne Annual Arts Grants. Her artwork has been exhibited across the globe—displayed in private and permanent collections amongst her creative heroes. Huei is also a tutor and lecturer of AWARD School, Australasia’s leading communications course.
