Meg Farquhar is a talented Executive Creative Director with a background in writing and a passion for creating fearless work that pushes boundaries and gets brands noticed. Meg joined DDB Chicago this summer, coming from Ogilvy Canada where she was honored to hold the title of Chief Creative Officer. During her time there she assembled a creative and driven department, won significant new business and took the agency from #11 in Canada to #3. Before joining Ogilvy Canada, Meg was at Leo Burnett Chicago where she lead creative on key Kellogg’s accounts, Marshalls and Aldi. Prior to her time at Burnett, she was a VP Creative Director at EnergyBBDO where she was committed to breathing new life into one of the agency’s most iconic accounts. She also lent her talents to the pro-bono account, the National Safety Council (NSC). The work she participated in for NSC, “Prescribed to Death,” was Energy’s most awarded campaign of the year taking home six Lions (three of them Gold), the Designism Cube for Good at ADC, and three D&AD Pencils. Meg’s fearless and dynamic work ethic have carried her across the globe throughout her 15+ years of experience in the industry. Meg has worked at Ogilvy Brazil, Ogilvy Singapore and David the Agency Brazil creating award-winning campaigns for top brands like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Motorola, Kraft and Unilever. Upon returning to the US, Meg worked at mono in Minneapolis on Target, Sperry, Firefox and Smashburger for over three years before relocating to Chicago as a Creative Director at Mekanism. There she worked on Peloton, Jim Beam, and MillerCoors innovation brands. When she’s not at the office, Meg looks forward to spending time in her bilingual household with her half Brazilian eight-year-old son Benj and dog Danger—or packing the family up for their next big travel adventure. Meg has been honored to be part of the jury for the Health Clios, The Global Awards, Cresta Awards, and The Effies.
