Zubeida Goolam Founder and Creative Managing Partner at Valiant Agency - a proudly 100% black female-owned, award winning, digital marketing agency established in 2016, a mentor, and a member of the IAB SA Transformation Council – taking care of a program called Front Row; an initiative that aims to provide young, Black creatives access into the industry. She also boasts an impressive repertoire spanning many years within the marketing and advertising industry, working for some of the top South African advertising agencies. A creative mind, she believes that people buy feelings and not products, and that once we truly understand those complex feelings as marketers or strategists (or whatever fancy names we call ourselves), and connect with them in a way that's sensible enough, those products can start to mean something. Zubeida shares the agency with her Co-Founder Sbosh Mbuzwana and together they are natural out of the box thinkers with a shared ambition to help brands stand out from the crowd, while embracing transformation and cultural inclusion in the work that they do, as well as the people they mentor. Together with their team at Valiant, they create impactful, digital campaigns that both inspire and drive critical engagement through incorporating multiple levels of marketing, with a strong focus on strategy and creativity in a digital-first world.
