Notes for Judging: | February 24, 2022. Russia invades Ukraine. As airstrikes rage over Kiev, Alina Holovatiuk, CEO & founder of the InTempo Start-Up and her team keep on working on an app that can make a true difference in times of war. The InTempo team knows panic attacks will be on the rise now and their product will be needed more than ever. An innovative product that will improve the lives of the most vulnerable, such as as teenagers and children. A product that is free and accessible to everyone who has a mobile phone and is easy to use: The Panic Prevention App. It‘s calming mechanism is simple: Open the app, choose a song, tap on the screen to the rhythm of the music. Tapping to the BPM of a song diverts the focus away from the anxiety. The fear disappears and the panic attack is stopped in its tracks. To promote The Panic Prevention App inside and outside Ukraine, we hosted song camps in Berlin and Kiev. International artists came together to produce songs especially for the app – free of charge. “Kalush Orchestra”, Ukraine’s most famous band and Eurovision song contest winners, were so convinced by the project that they dedicated their new hit single changes to it. The result: InTempo is getting more and more media coverage and, more importantly, business partners. That helps to improve the app further and in the long run the lives of not only Ukrainians, but people around the world. |
