Notes for Judging: | Sexual harassment against women is often trivialized by society. Together with TERRE DES FEMMES we’ve made a bold statement against it. By setting up installations at several public locations in Germany, we turned female statues, with their breasts visibly grazed, into advocates for those affected. The statues were given a voice, which they used to speak up for affected women right through the phones of the visitors and addressed their appeal. To reach even more people, DOOH and an awareness film helped to spread the message. The PR resonance was astounding and national and international media helped spreading the message organically. With a budget of €0, UNSILENCE THE VIOLENCE had earned media impressions of 198 million within 48 hours, which corresponds to a media equivalent of €6.6 million+. 455 media reports in 18 countries on 5 continents picked up on it. DOOH generated a sponsored reach of 26 million impressions. The content was viewed on average 17 times more frequently than usual. The interaction rate was increased by +23%. Above all, we were able to help those affected to no longer remain silent, but follow the example of the statues and break the silence. |
