| Notes for Judging: | Gaslighting is a form of abuse that erases its own evidence. The victim begins to doubt whether anything happened at all. Research showed that many women experiencing gaslighting keep journals or voice recordings of everyday events, just to reassure themselves that their memory is real. That observation became the starting point for the film. We follow a woman moving through her day with a voice recorder running. A small, almost invisible gesture, until you realise why. The film was made by a predominantly female crew telling a story about women’s experience of abuse for a foundation that exists to support them. |
