Notes for Judging: Italy is one of only seven European countries where relationship and sex education is not mandatory in schools.
At the same time, a woman is killed every three days.
Research from King’s College London & Ipsos (IWD 2026, 29 countries) shows:
– 31% of Gen Z men believe a wife should obey her husband
– 25% of young men do not consider non-consensual touching violence

These data confirm that inequality is culturally reproduced long before violence becomes visible. In the absence of formal education, culture becomes the default educator.
Gino Cecchettin, whose daughter was killed by her boyfriend at 22, through the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation, calls for a cultural shift driven by education, placing men at the center as allies and agents of change.
The campaign was created to serve this mission: to elevate the public conversation and transform the narrative from violence as an isolated act to violence as a cultural pattern sustained by normalized male behavior.
By exposing how harmful attitudes are normalized through casual conversation, the campaign reframes gender-based violence as a shared cultural responsibility.
The film unfolds around a dinner table, where everyday phrases escalate until the audience recognizes the pattern they have always heard, and perhaps repeated.

The campaign delivered the following verified business and brand outcomes, with virtually no investment:

• Revenue impact: €15,000+ raised in the first week through individual donations (Source: Internal donation platform data)
• Additional fundraising impact: €100,000 donation publicly allocated to the Foundation’s partner network during Rai 1 prime-time program Affari Tuoi (Source: National broadcast confirmation and internal records)
• Engagement metrics: 8.5M+ video views, 240K+ likes, 2.5K+ comments, 50K+ shares, 47,400+ saves within the first 7 days (Source: Instagram Insights, Meta Analytics)
• Supporter behaviour: 569 one-time donations, 74 new monthly recurring donors, 200 volunteer applications activated within the first week (Source: Internal CRM data)
• Institutional impact: Activation of educational programmes in three Italian regions (Puglia, Toscana, Veneto) following the national debate generated by the campaign (Source: Official regional communications)

All results are based on internal donation data, CRM reports, Meta Analytics, national broadcast confirmations, and official institutional communications, and have been verified internally by Fondazione Giulia Cecchettin.
